SENTECH, broadcasting signal distributor has awarded a multi-year contract to Avanti Communications to deliver significant deployments across public sector services and government sites. SENTECH will deliver satellite broadband connectivity to South Africa's public sector at scale, across hundreds of public state institutions and government sites. SENTECH's Connectivity Services solutions portfolio will offer VSAT Ka-Band services targeting the broad segment of the communications industry and public sector applications, such as schools connectivity and e-Health solutions in line with SA Connect imperatives.
Service is supplied using Avanti's HYLAS 2 Ka-band satellite, which has 100% coverage of South Africa. This contract will ensure that SENTECH enables cutting edge data connectivity services for key public sector clients and the greater communities in the most remote locations of South Africa.
