    Psychometric testing

As a registered psychometrist, I would like to know from others, what the general feeling is about psychometric testing - and also, what tests are currently used in their companies, schools, institutions?

Psychometric testing is increasingly contentious, especially unlawful use by unqualified people. I feel this is a good thing, as psychometry is a science and the interpretation of such is a scientific matter.
Some people are still using old and outdated tests or tests that are not culturally fair, for selection, recruitment, training etc.
I would be very interested to know, even if annonymously, who is pro-, against or neutral about testing and why.
Also, if their companies are using tests, what tests are they using the majority of the time, and whether the person administering, interpreting, scoring and reporting on these tests are qualified or registered to do so?
I just think that a lot of people don't realise how strictly the HPCSA is monitoring the situation - for instance, I have been for a couple of interviews, and have been given the Thomas 'least/most' test - both pretty similar and called different things, but I recognised it straight away. Are companies attempting to have their own test without paying fees, and as a result, have unfair testing, or have they been sold up the garden path?
Do companies employ psychometric practitioners to do the testing for them to cover themselves and ensure fairness?
