Avusa rejects revised Koni bid

NEWSWATCH: Avusa (formerly Johnnic Communications) has turned down Koni Media's revised offer for its media and entertainment assets, writes Business Report. Avusa has also stated that it is on track to implement its corporate restructuring – listing the businesses of the media giant into two listed entities – by the end of the first quarter of 2008, reports The Times Online. An announcement is expected shortly.

SANEF has protested yet again at the treatment of journalists and photographers by police on crimes scenes; the latest incident took place last night, Wednesday, 13 February 2008, with the arrest of Sowetan reporter Mhlaba Memela in the Durban CBD.
