Hi Angelique - I think you made a good point that candidates should maintain their digital presence. But I think most corporate recruiters won't have the resources to process digital / video CV's unless they are specifically recruiting for a social media specialist, given the typical IT security policies within corporates. I know of companies that don't even allow LinkedIn to be accessed from a corporate account, let alone Facebook, Twitter or Youtube :)
As an end consumer, I feel that I am not greatly affected by property investments done by large corporations. However, when I buy or sell on a small scale I do feel that I need to be concerned about such transactions. The price I will be paying or receiving will be affected by what the large managements do behind the scenes. Whether it is for a small residential unit, or for a large commercial storage facility, the prices concerned are based on the actions they take.
The property market is never stagnant and the patterns are ever changing. Property owners who are looking to sell have to carefully monitor the market if they wish to make the most profits out of their sales. As for potential buyers, it is wise to see when is the best time to buy at the cheapest rates. Be it for residential purposes or commercial uses like a storage facility, the same rule shall apply.
It all sounds very well and good to just buy a house on sale or an apartment for sale and rent it out to have some quick cash flow, but I'm glad for articles like these that help people to understand the levels of commitment behind the investment. On the other hand, there are also property managers that can help you out with the administration and logistics if you are willing to pay them a cut.
I agree with this article wholeheartedly! Even with a property agent, it's important to do research on any house for sale or villa for sale. In addition, looking a bit deeper at what you want and what there is available on the market gets easier also the more you get out there and view pieces of real estate. Then you'll have a better idea of what will fit your current needs and goals for property investment.
