According to Jane Okumu Nandawula, the secretary general of Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), the awards will be held at the end of the three-day regional conference. The meeting will gather PR practitioners from countries including; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda as well as the South African Public Relations Society (SAPRS) and the All Africa Public Relations Association (APRA).

    East African Public Relations Conference

This year's conference will be held from 21-23 November, under the theme 'The Next 50 Years of Public Relations'. The theme is in line with the celebrations to mark the 50 years of independence from British rule.

"EAPRA Conference & PRAU Excellence Awards are giving you the unique opportunity to market your products and services to directly 500 and indirectly to 8 million East African corporate, humanitarian and government populations," Mary Okurut, the Patron PRAU notes in an invitation letter.
