Business school expo ideal platform for career choices

Leading business schools from across the country will converge at the annual South African Business Schools Association (SABSA) Business School Expo on Thursday 27 August 2009 at Sandton Convention Centre, allowing managers, executives and entrepreneurs the opportunity to source relevant information to guidie them on their choice of what qualification to pursue and where.

The expo also aims to be an ideal platform for human resource development professionals to see what is on offer at the various institutions. This will assist them in deciding on their organisations' education and training activities.

“I believe during this economic slowdown there is even a greater need for individuals to improve their ability to switch jobs, improve salaries (or maintain their current salary) and grow their networks. Therefore, this is definitely the time to invest in one's skills and position one's career for the long-term,” says Prof Mthuli Ncube, president of SABSA and dean of the University of the Witwatersrand's Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management, which includes the Wits Business School.
