1. Where do you live, work and play?

I live in Joburg and work in SA and London. I play wherever there are toys. That’s a lot of places!

2. What's your claim to fame?

I’m an international kung-fu medalist, published author and, once upon a time, I sued all the major banks.

3. Describe your career so far.

I am only 42 years old, so I really am just getting started!

4. Tell us a few of your favourite things.

  • Cycling through the streets of London on Christmas Day.
  • Spending time with the family on the beaches of Sarasota, Florida.
  • Cape Town, as long as it’s not winter and there’s water to drink.
  • Oh yes, and I love writing stories.

5. What do you love about your industry?

It makes one realise that the impossible is possible. That no matter how bad things seem in the world, there are real, tangible solutions.

6. Describe your average workday, if such a thing exists.

Just another day, looking for ways to disrupt the convention and create a newer, better and more diverse tomorrow.

7. What are the tools of your trade?
A laptop, the internet and some seriously amazing people around me.

8. Who is getting it right in your industry?

Vinny Lingham.

9. What are you working on right now?
The Gentle Reminders Club – it’s a new way of solving disputes that doesn’t involve the legal system and is a powerful reputation management tool – marketers, take note!

10. Where and when do you have your best ideas?
In the shower or bath – I am a water baby.

11. What’s your secret talent/party trick?
I can do some cool things with a sword. Unfortunately, there usually aren’t any swords lying around at parties. Invite me to the right party and I may just bring mine along...

12. Are you a technophobe or a technophile?

Sometimes I want to throw my laptop and phone into the ocean! Then I can go out and buy the latest versions.

13. What would we find if we scrolled through your phone?
You would find that my girlfriend would kill you.

14. What advice would you give to newbies hoping to crack into the industry?

If you focus only on the new, you are dead.

Simple as that. Click through to the thought leadership under Cundill’s MyBiz profile, and contact him on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. You can also follow The Gentle Reminders Club and ‏Majestic3 on Twitter.
