Pieter Möller for OFM breakfast show

Changes to OFM's weekday and weekend lineup, announced earlier this week, will include well-known early morning presenter Pieter Möller being appointed to the weekday breakfast show, to join Christie Hansen as co-presenter, with Karien Jordaan on news, Liezl Liebenberg on sport, newcomer Luvuyo Dada on traffic and Brendon Lombard as creative producer for an all-new look and sound.

Shana Kilbee, programme manager of OFM, explains the changes: “Adapting the line-up slightly has allowed us to create a balance between our familiar faces and the introduction of some younger talent. We hope that this mix will find favour with our audience and at the same time, provide listeners with something fresh.

“We are delighted to have Pieter Moller joining Christie Hansen in breakfast and have created a strong team around them to provide a not-to-be-missed, bumper four hours of entertainment. Weekends have also received some attention and we have new features and a greater diversity of music.”

Dean Ririe, weekday breakfast sports presenter and presenter of the Global Top 40 countdown on Sundays, will join the Tim Time team on weekdays 2pm – 6pm as the sports presenter.

Jordaan, news reader for OFM Breakfast during weekdays, will replace Möller's weekend show with her own show on Saturdays, 3pm – 6pm.

Fun

With Bernie Naude's easy-going temperament and sense of fun, he is a perfect choice to take over the reigns from Möller early morning. Vuyani (Vinny) Nogemane graduates from weekend overnights to provide some soul to the weekday graveyard shift.

Naude will also be giving a breakdown of local, regional and international sport in Pure Sport every Saturday afternoon (1pm – 3pm), followed by Jordaan as she presents a mix of lifestyle features and music designed to relax to (3pm – 6pm).

The dulcet tones of Mardi Delport will still be waking listeners up on the weekend (5am – 9am). Radio legend Kevin Savage follows her with his Kevin Savage Show on Saturdays and his “Gold Retold” oldies show on Sundays, which continues to grow in popularity.

Nico van der Westhuizen and Nogemane turn up the heat with all your retro-styled dance tracks from the '70s, '80s and '90s (Saturdays 6pm – 9pm). Willie de Bruin then keeps the party going with the best in commercial club and radio hits – the perfect way to party (21pm – midnight).

Food for the spirit

Van der Westhuizen joins Meloni Munro on Sunday afternoons for Central South Africa's biggest countdown, the OFM Top 40. Velvet-voiced James Kilbourn eases you into a Sunday night from 5pm – 9pm, with an hour of eclectic music 7pm – 8pm and Phillip Kotze continues to provide food for the spirit from 9pm on a Sunday night.

The rest of the weekday line-up features the voices and faces that are by now synonymous with OFM: Eloise Pretorius between 10am – 2pm; Tim Tabethe between 2pm – 6pm and Angie Khumalo between 6pm – 9pm. The recent combination of Divan de le Guerre and Lindsay Batteson is proving very popular with younger listeners as the Sound Xpress goes full steam ahead from 21pm onwards.
