Michelle Goodman founded the DL Link that provides a nurturing safe space for cancer patients, their families and all those who have been affected by it. It supports the healing process of the mind, body and spirit through the journey of cancer.

The voting process for this year's radiothon took place over a six-week period and was divided into two different rounds. In round one of the nomination process, listeners were asked to nominate their favourite charity to be entered into a final vote between the top three finalists. The top three finalists were chosen from unique votes sent in. In the final stage of the nomination process, listeners were asked to vote for their winner out of the top three finalists by filling in an online survey. The winner with the highest percentage of the votes won the radiothon.

The station has raised over R13.5m for charities in six years and has won two MTN Radio Awards for its radiothon. For more information, go to www.chaifm.com.
