Branson, Clinton, Dalai Lama support Mandela Day

The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory recently released a video in which the likes of Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama encourage the world to support Mandela Day on 18 July 2013.

This year marks the 95th birthday of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, and the fourth Nelson Mandela International Day. The vision behind Mandela Day is that each individual has the ability and responsibility to impact change.

The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory has called on the public to join it this Mandela Day and drive the change by pledging their support on Pledge 4 Mandela Day.

Spread a message of hope and action

"Madiba's vision has indeed inspired a global movement for good. We ask all changemakers, local and global, to help us spread a message of hope and action so that each individual can honour this great South African statesman. The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory want to grow the momentum that many have already inspired by driving support for Mandela Day through this video tribute and other initiatives in order to honour the life and legacy of Madiba, and in so doing make every day a Mandela Day," says Sello Hatang, chief executive: Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory at The Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Quirk is resposible for building the Pledge for Mandela Day website and Platypus Productions for building this remarkable video.
