RTD Red Bull RADAR winners announced

The three finalists to play on the main stage at Rocking the Daisies 2009, as voted by the fans are She Man Lion, Sean Hayz Band and Jinx. These three bands will each get the opportunity to battle it out for the final prize live on stage at the Rocking the Daises festival.

The RADAR battle of the bands competition will be hosted from 14:00 on Saturday, 10 October 2009 and will be judged by some of SA's top entertainment journalists.

The winning band will spend five days of full studio time at the Red Bull Studio in Cape Town to record a four-track demo. They also win return flights from either Johannesburg or Durban to Cape Town. Five nights accommodation at Ashanti Lodge and meals for the entire week - think Butlers Pizza, steak at HQ, yummy nosh at Rafikis and burgers at Royale Eatery. And finally, a slot at Rocking the Daisies 2010.

She Man Lion

She Man Lion is a five-piece Cape Town based band with an experimental approach to music. Their music can best be described as an energetic dance-floor fusion of indie, rock, dance, electro, and disco.

Sean Hayz Band

The Sean Hayz Band originates from Johannesburg. The duo Sean Hayz (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar) and Geoffrey Smith (Drums, Percussion) describe their music as uplifting acoustic folk jazz.

Jinx

This five-piece creates a sound that is an orchestral concoction of electric symphonies and thunderous cyber funk, their music is bred to feed the starving soul in effort to fight the endless hunger of generic counterfeit in modern day society.
