“We are creating an event to celebrate this audacious tasting drink combined with live music and DJs in the heart of the Durbanville Wine Valley to offer you a day of great ‘Russian’ spirit with good music, entertainment, and traditional games,” said organisers Mike Crawford and Denise Barnes.
Festival attendees will experience a multitude of vodka tasting stations where they can taste various types of vodka from well-known and local craft brands.
Vodka-based cocktails from classic martinis, cosmopolitans, bloody Marys to modern fusion style cocktails will be served at a 12-metre long ice bar. An ice luge at the bar will also provide ice-cold shots.
Attendees may want to plan an alternate ride home if they want to participate in the Russian Roulette Shoot Out; as you win, you drink. The winner will receive a Vodkafest CT hamper, tasting coupons, or the money pool.
Live bands and DJs will entertain the crowd throughout the day and into the night. Rockerfellas and Das Kapital are already part of the lineup and more artists and DJs will be announced soon.
