The site was submitted to the SA Web Awards and won the Silver plus the award for being the best website for the month of May, with a score of between 80 and 89%.
Websites that are submitted to SA Web Awards are evaluated by at least three website judges and scored out of four categories, including content, layout, functionality and overall appeal. The combined score from all the judges then determines whether the website wins an SA Web Award, and whether it wins Gold (90-100%), Silver (80-89%) or Bronze (70-79%).
“The fact that the SA Web Awards relies on a peer review system when rating their websites … means that the site has been evaluated according to industry standards by other professionals,” said Marius de Villiers, webmaster and head of the web department at MV Communications.
The MV Communications exhibit it put together for the Zorgvliet Portfolio won a Silver Award for Stand Excellence at the Indaba Tourism Expo in Durban recently.
